It's nice to know that when life is taking a steam roller to my soul I can still manage to amuse myself with just a few well-chosen words. Usually with a funny animal amongst them. Did you know that ducks are the funniest animals in the world? (click on Fun Facts at the bottom right) Research has shown it, friends, and science doesn't lie. However, I think rabbits may be a good runner up. Especially the one I saw yesterday. S and I were driving home, and as we passed Trolley Barn Park, we saw two, yes two! animals that made us ridiculously happy. The first was the biggest damn bunny I have ever seen. The man carrying it

And then, within just a few seconds of the mega-bun sighting, a tiny 1960s convertible sporstcar zoomed by with a gigantic dog hanging his head out the passenger side. Wearing goggles.* I kid you not! That dog was retro-cool, peoples.

If you think that doggie hanging out of the convertible was funny, you must go to see "Up". The funniest scene is all the doggies lined up at the windows of the blimp! Hysterical!
I'm not so sure about ducks being the funniest animals -- I'd say more jokes are told about them. I love ducks! Especially our three pets -- Duckie who was given to me several years ago (you know the one that is all floppy and silly), Baby Duckie (a birthday present for Glen to keep Duckie company), and our most recent acquisition -- Grand Ole Opry Duck! Yup, got
'im at the Grand Ole Opry gift shop. He's a typical rubber duckie except he's wearing a brown cowboy hat, a red bandana and a brown vest with a sheriff's star on it. I'll have Glen take a picture of him with the other two ducks. According to the web site Fun With Words, we now have either a brace of ducks, a flock of ducks, a flush of ducks, a paddling of ducks, a raft of ducks, or a team of ducks. Hmmmmm.....I don't know which I prefer. Any advice, Ms. OED reader?

P.S. More than three people read your blog. I just don't post every time. You know why.
